It's been a while since our last post, but here we have a mountain modern ranch home design for a young couple in the University Park neighborhood of Denver, close to Observatory Park.

This home is 2,800 square feet with a full basement, large attached garage at the rear, as well as an over-sized detached garage.

Construction is slated for January 2018.

This Sloan's Lake 5-Unit Townhome (IBC build) has just broken ground and is finally on its way after some City snags and heavy decision-making by the client.  Near 18th and Irving, each unit finishes off at 1,900 square feet, and amazing rooftop deck space.  Construction is expected to be completed in about 12 months.

Blackstone Architecture, along with Firstbank and others, co-sponsored a Victims Outreach Incoporated (VOI) fundraising event last Friday night at the Lakewood Country Club.  Were were honored to attend this event with our personal guests including many of whom were from DL Engineering (720.440.9450), a structural engineering firm out of Denver.  

This event featured live music, live & silent auctions, great food, MC Anastasiya Bolton from 9 News Denver, and other featured guests.

With over 160 attendees, including members of the Coors family, this was a great event for a tremendous cause that has helped so many since 1986.  This being our first attendance of this fundraiser, we plan to make this a standing yearly reservation.

Denver Hottest Real Estate Market

On August 3rd, Realtor.com published its latest ranking of the “hottest” real estate markets in America. This recurring feature ranks local housing markets based on the speed of home sales and the level of buyer demand. In short, markets with the most demand and the fastest selling homes are ranked at the top of the list.

The Denver real estate market appeared at #2 in the national rankings for July.

According to Realtor.com’s chief economist Jonathan Smoke: “Sellers [in Denver and other hot markets] are seeing listings move much more quickly than the rest of the country and at an accelerating pace from just last month.” He added that these hot housing markets are very attractive to buyers, and are viewed on Realtor.com as much as three times more often than the national average.

While the Case-Shiller Index indicated a 10% rise in home prices by the end of July, and while a low-inventory factor is a key contribution to Denver's thriving housing market, we may see a cooling in 2016.......
